Meet our Founder
Pat Hurlock
Pat Hurlock is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of marketing and event planning experience. Prior to establishing HME, Pat was a Director in the Global Advertising/Brand Management/Marketing Education Group at American Express.
During her ten-year tenure, she developed national and local advertising campaigns; designed marketing and promotional programs; led cross-functional teams to deepen the Platinum Card®Fine Gifts and Platinum Card®Fine Dining retail and restaurant relationships; worked with over 10 Global Business Units to deploy a two-year brand training strategy; and managed the Marketing Education Group which provided marketing training and exposure to highly sought after professional speakers, trainers and authors.
Pat’s quest for excellence, creative thinking and relationship building serve as the foundation for her success. Clients often give her praise for her positive attitude and exceptional ability to work under pressure with a calm and reassuring smile. She is the recipient of many awards such as: The National Council of Negro Women Mary McLeod Bethune Award; Continental Societies, Inc, New York Chapter, Woman of Distinction Award; Bronx Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Unsung Shero Award; American Express Chairman’s Quality Award and the National Association of Black Accountants Eastern Region Behind the Scenes Award.
Pat is also a big supporter of “The Arts” and coordinates multiple events supporting Broadway and Off-Broadway theatre, opera and dance. With the help of 1,000+ HME Theatre Lovers, she has generated over $1MM in revenues and filled over 5,000 seats in New York City, Chicago, Washington, DC and London.
She is very active in her community and previously served as a Board Member for the Delta Research and Educational Foundation. She is currently a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., North Manhattan Alumnae Chapter and The Links, Incorporated, Greater Hudson Valley (NY) Chapter where she serves on multiple committees.
Pat holds a BS in Marketing and Organizational Development from Syracuse University and a MBA with a concentration in Marketing and Organizational Development from the University of Michigan.
